The Mental Health: Beyond the Individual workshop encourages participants to shift the perception of mental health as an individual issue to a systemic one by exploring the effects of oppression on well-being.

  • Expand our definition of mental health through a social justice lens

  • Understand the concept of oppression and its multiple forms

  • Recognize practical examples of how oppression and its multiple forms influence mental health

Population: Teens or adults

Capacity: 16-20 participants max is ideal for effective participation. However, the original structure of the workshop can be modified to fit more participants.
